You call it perfection, I call it Balance or an Equilibrium..! To bring things, circumstances, relationships to a normal state..!
Its like standing with a weighing balance putting things on the other pan what is lacking..!
That is why when one feels regularity in the randomness of life, you feel good...When you find predictive happiness in the unpredictability of life, you feel balanced..!
True, that more of equilibrium also hurts as there is no joy so we enjoy to certain extent the randomness and unpredictability of life too..!

It isn't called a blank space as per me...It can be called the Vacuum of Desires..!
Space is too filled with air...vacuum is the real void which to fill we always go on aspiring and achieving dreams..!
One more thing, you really need this void at points of time in life for Real Growth..!
One who is comfortable in this void, doesn't grow or know much which is the law of nature..!

Every individual if full of desires..! Fulfilling them and chasing after them mostly for the sake of achieving it and not because one would feel tremendous joyous to have it..!
Human being by time has become a goal seeker rather than really achieving something in life..! Whether materialistic or eternal, goals keeps us occupied..! In a way its good, but the question is does it really satisfy you..?
About the question "What do we really want ?" once we have figured out that, the only driving force to achieve it would be the reason "WHY" you want it..! the more powerful the "WHY" the more you will work for it..!
